What FLK1 covers
FLK1, Functioning Legal Knowledge 1, is one of the two papers that make up the SQE1. It tests seven subjects: the legal system itself, constitutional and administrative law, the core private law subjects of contract and tort, business law and practice, dispute resolution, and legal services. Every question is a single best answer scenario, testing whether you can apply the law to a short set of facts rather than simply recall a rule.
Ethics and professional conduct are tested throughout both FLK1 and FLK2, rather than as a subject confined to one paper.
